The Montello Rod and Gun Club hosts rifle sight-in opportunities every year before gun deer season.
Montello Rod and Gun Club

Some of the friendliest people you’ll meet behind the trigger end of a gun are the members of the Montello Rod and Gun Club.  This is a club that does more than say they want you there, they show it.   The well maintained shooting ranges, variety of activities, and public events showcase how well mannered and friendly gun sports can be.

The Montello Rod and Gun Club has been around for over 70 years and boasts a membership of over 140 sports, conservation, and gun enthusiasts. Safety is always stressed, from ear plugs, to handling of the guns.

Every activity, while priced lower for members, is open to the public.  Sporting clays fly  after 10 every Saturday and after 5 every Wednesday during the season.  A new 100 yard range is complete and each Saturday and Sunday for 2 weeks before deer season opens, you can use the range to sight-in your guns.  The Friday before opening, a time when you can only legally sight-in on a registered range, the club also opens up and has members there to help hunters sight-in their guns.

The Marquette County Sheriff's department as well as the Montello Police use the range for their practice sessions.  The gun club also has a pistol league which is open to the public.   If you’re an old pro with a gun or if you’d just like to try  shooting for the first time, you can’t miss with the Montello Rod and Gun Club, just about the  friendliest people around who really want to make your day…..a great one.

Montello Rod and Gun Club is located just south of Montello in Marquette County, Wisconsin, at N3740 Highway 22.
